Within the framework of SFISH project, PERSGA desires to:
- Establish Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) procedural manual, and
- Provide technical support to project ESS implementation and monitoring team.
Accordingly, PERSGA has hired a consultant, to develop an ESRM manual, which will be used by PERSGA to manage environmental and social risks that would result from programs, projects, and activities conducted/supervised by PERSGA. The assignment also entails a training program to build capacity of PERSGA staff and key stakeholders to ensure smooth understanding and implementation of the ESRM manual.
assessment (diagnosis) report aims to assess PERSGA current procedures to identify, prevent, manage, and compensate (do you mean address?) environmental and social risks that could be resulted in implementing programs and project. PERSGA’s current procedures and practices will be compared and benchmarked with key donor environmental and social safeguards procedures to identify current gaps, and fill them if any.
The assessment report proposes the following standards. Each standard will be detailed and specifically tailored to RSGA resources and priorities.
- Assessment and Management of Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts
- Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management of Living Natural Resources
- Community Health, and Safety
- Stakeholder Consultation and Information Disclosure
- Labor and Working Conditions.
