PERSGA held an Awareness-Raising Workshop Program  in coordination with the national focal point (Environment Protection Authority) for three days 23-25 December 2025 at three coastal areas along the Yemeni coast of the Gulf of Aden. These areas were Diwakar (Fish landing site-Malla) Hiswa, Fuqum, which are located within the Aden Governorate. The main purpose of this event was to raise the awareness level of fishers on Sustainability of Fish Wealth and to have an open discussion with fishers for the development of fishery management in the area.  More than 30 fishers participated at the program in each area. About 15 women attended the program held in Foqum. Different presentations, in relation to GFGs, Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU), Stock Assessment and Fisher Legislations, were provided to different fishers in each area. There were open dialogue sessions with the local fishers -within the program- discussing different issues in relation to current fishery management in the coastal areas.
